Brick's Big Mistake: Chapter 1

It was the first day of Brick's new job at What Pizza?, the coolest and most delicious local pizza joint. Brick had been eating at What Pizza? ever since he could remember. And ever since he could remember, Brick dreamed of working there as a pizza delivery man/boy. After school everyday he would study maps of his town and memorized every street name, every corner, every park, every pet shop, every auto-tag place, etc. Brick knew where everything was in that town! Now the day had come for his dream to come true. He could finally put all his knowledge to good use. Brick was officially an employee of What Pizza?.


"Alright, Brick. The Plum Street order is ready. Put the pies in their respective boxes. Get em out, get em delivered, get em devoured, and get them wanting more. And don't forget the pizza savers".

That was his boss, reciting the What Pizza? motto and giving Brick his first order. "No problem", Brick replied. He knew how to put pizzas in boxes, and he knew exactly where Plum Street is. Two blocks away from his own street! Easy. No problem. Oh wait, there was a problem. Brick didn't know what pizza savers were. And he didn't want to feel stupid asking his new boss what they were. But wait again, was that a problem? Are pizza savers really that important? Brick decided that pizza savers were not important. Not now. Not today. So he carefully placed each pizza (there were three of them) into a box, grabbed the What Pizza? sign and put it on top of his car (those signs are magnetic), and embarked on his first delivery.
